Niacinamides normally come in the form of serums. Serums are used in addition to the normal cleanse, tone and moisturise routine to fight specific skin concerns.

Most products have a 5% concentrate of niacin amide, and this is said to be perfect for treating hyperpigmentation. However, if you have sensitive skin it's recommended to start with a lower concentration.
