To start off and get a feel of your skin, try to see how your skin feels exfoliating twice a week before increasing the frequency to three times a week, depending on whether it needs it or not.
You'll know if you need to exfoliate more if you are experiencing heavier skin symptoms such as breakouts, scarring and lots of clogged pores, or if you have very oily skin.
Once your skin is looking and feeling clearer, you can reduce your exfoliation to once a week or in response/prevention of breakouts.
You should also reduce the amount of exfoliation if you are experiencing red, dry and itchy skin!
If you have a skin treatment or facial, you should hold off on exfoliating for about 3- 5 days to give your skin time to heal and rejuvenate.
