Just like curly hair, if you don't have freckles you want them, or if you have them and you probably hate them - but regardless, freckles are gorgeous little dots that appear on our skin like constellations. Some people have more than others, some are in clusters while others stand alone.
Their visibility and appearance changes for person to person, but every freckle is an incredible skin coloured sparkle.
Freckles are little brown dots that appear on your skin. If you've noticed they normally appear in areas with more sun exposure, it's because they form as a result of melanin being over produced. Melanin creates the colour or your skin and hair, and it becomes stimulated through ultra-violet radiation. The more UV rays, the more stimulation your skin gets until certain spots turn darker.
There are two types of freckles - ephelides and solar lentigines. They both look similar, the differences just lie in their formation.
Ephelides are what most people think of when they think of freckles and are the most common type.
Solar lentigines are darker areas of skin that form during adulthood such as ageing spots, freckles and sun spots.
