December 16, 2020
It all started from the frustration of lingerie sticking to and irritating the skin. It's uncomfortable, annoying and distracts you from how it's meant to make you feel -empowered, confident and beautiful. So finally, in the serene landscapes of Canada - May Deldari made the decision to fix the problem.
With the skills and entrepreneurial drive that matched her passion for ethical beauty and natural fabrics, Maylyn & Co was born.
Maylyn & Co have the kindest pieces and sets. They're kind and soft to your skin, and are PETA CERTIFIED. I repeat, they are PETA CERTIFIED.
From slip on sets to silk gowns, the lingerie crafted by May is unparalleled in comfort and beauty. May has formed a unique natural and detailed aesthetic, that has shot Maylyn & Co into the hearts of not only the lingerie world, but the world of ethical beauty.
We chatted with May, a trailblazing boss lady, to see what challenges and solutions she's faced this year, and she shares some tips for fellow young business owners, or for those thinking about becoming one!
Q. What has been the biggest change to Maylyn & Co during the turmoil of 2020?
Our biggest change was the supply chain, especially at the beginning of the pandemic. Operations were drastically slowed down and the deliveries to our customers were delayed. Fortunately, the situation improved as the world started to adapt, and we're now back to our normal operations. During that time, we were lucky enough to have such supportive customers who were totally understanding.
Q. Are there any resources you find helpful or inspirational that you'd would to recommend?
My biggest mentor is my father.
My favourite Instagram accounts are @bossbabe.inc + @goal.cast + @founder.
My favourite show is Shark Tank
And Gary Vee is one of my favourite motivational speakers.
Q. What should our young entrepreneurs be doing in 2021?
Make yourself your only priority this year. Delete, unfollow and disconnect from anyone or anything that drains your energy.
Q. After many trials and tribulations, May has 3 INCREDIBLE tips for her young entrepreneurs.
