10 Best Foods to Whiten your Teeth

10 Best Foods to Whiten your Teeth

What can you eat to make your teeth whiter?
If you don't want to spend the money on a teeth whitening treatment, but brushing your teeth just isn't getting rid your stains, we have the solution for you. By simply adding these foods into your daily diet, you won't believe the difference in your teeth Pantone, taking it from a meer ombre off white, to some sheeny dinner plates.
We all know natural and simple remedies are often the deeply effective, and this is one of those times! Proven in countless studies, these delicious snacks will have your smile blinding your enemies.

1. Apples

My saving grace when i don't have time to brush my teeth. They not only eliminate mouth odour, but the chewiness creates a natural scrub that washes particles from your teeth and removes stains.

2. Cheese

The lactic acid and enamel-fortifying mineral calcium in cheese simultaneously strengthens and whitens teeth! So yes, all of those cheese platters over this holiday season were a strategic health move by you.

3. Cauliflower

Due to the high amount of chewing taken to consume cauliflower, your body produces a high saliva content. Saliva being a natural cleanser, paired with the texture of the cauliflower leaves your teeth nice and shiny!

4. Celery

Chewy and fibrous foods like celery whiten your teeth and maintain/improve gum health.

5. Strawberries

The malic acid naturally present in your strawbs fights stains and who would've guessed, whitens your teeth!

6. Baking Soda

Baking soda effortlessly lifts the stains from your teeth, and is commonly used in conjunction with water as a natural toothpaste replacement. Many report it being more successful than normal toothpaste and whitening and brightening your pearly whites.

7. Broccoli

Not only does this crisp high fibre vege naturally scrub away at your teeth, but the high iron content actually creates a protective barrier on your teeth against enamel decaying bacteria.

8. Raisins

For the same reason as many others, the chewy nature of raisins is a catalyst for a high saliva production. It's a great idea to chuck these in with your cereal for some added sweetness and some added teeth sheen.

9. Water

Drinking water before and after meals, not only stimulates saliva production, but it immediately washes away the majority of the bacteria and colour in foods that love to stain your teeth, preventing them from being as white as they can be!

10. Yoghurt

Not only is yoghurt high in calcium, but it's high in phosphorus. Phosphorous is a mineral that keeps your enamel healthy, which in turn makes them whiter!

And Voilà

This is another reason why switching to a diet high in fruits and vegetables is a great idea! Many of the foods you'll be eating will allow you to absentmindedly reach that shiny smile you so desire.
